Jamaican-born Courtney Walsh was the first player to break past 500 wickets in test cricket. His illustrious career with West Indian cricket team began on January 9th, 1984, against Australia. The momentous occasion occurred towards sunset when Walsh delivered an ordinary delivery, which was excellently executed from a brilliant outswing ball. Jacques Kallis, the elite South African batsman casually tried to brush away Walsh’s delivery but ended up edging it; Carl Hooper at first slip caught it expertly.
