As of January 2021, The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Cricket Council is Geoff Allardice. An accomplished cricketer himself, he brings hands-on experience and deep insights imbued with passion and love for this timeless sport. Before taking on this record-role, Allardice served as ICC’s interim CEO following Manu Sawhney’s departure until finally being promoted to full status.
About Geoff Allardice
Allardice hails from Melbourne, Australia. His long-standing association with cricket started early within his youth years; he even played first-class cricket during the late eighties into the nineties for Victoria state in Australia before moving onto administrative roles.
His journey with ICC began in 2012 when he joined as General Manager – Cricket Operations. Over time, he has held various important positions within ICC and gained immense experience dealing with organizational challenges that cricket faces globally. In his former role as ICC’s deputy chief executive officer, Allardice led efforts in crucial areas such as Anti-Corruption Unit(ACU), Umpire Department and key innovations like introduction and implementation of decision review system(DRS).

Corruption has often subdueing integrity within any sports including cricket that Allardice intends to evade through strategic endeavors. For years he leaded the ACU with an intent towards stern operational transparency that sustained trust at global platforms which still continues doing so.
